2020-2021 Remote Learning Grade Level Schedules
To help you prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to share our Remote Learning Schedules. Here are some highlights and additional information:
Please contact Principal Overstreet at cwoverstreet@cps.edu with any questions
- Kellogg school hours are 7:45am-2:45pm.
- Almost 100% of the synchronous (live) instruction for K-8 has been scheduled before lunch.
- We opted to not have students go back and forth between synchronous and asynchronous throughout the day to make it easier for kids to work independently while parents are working.
- The afternoon asynchronous is when teachers will be available to pull small groups, offer feedback to students, conferencing, office hours, and MTSS Tier 2 & Tier 3 interventions. These schedules will be fluid and determined by individual teachers to best support their students.
- Lunch periods are common throughout the school to help with families that have multiple children at Kellogg.
- Homeroom teachers have a daily 45 min lunch and 60 preparation time where they are not available.
- Students with an IEP that have a Diverse Learner Teacher for a core subject will receive an individualized schedule that will be similar to the schedules shared below.
- Enrichment classes are 30 min synchronous (live) and 30 min independent per CPS.

Kellogg Achieved a Level 1+ Rating for the 4th Consecutive Year
Congratulations Wolfpack, Kellogg has been recognized as a Level 1+ school for the 4th consecutive year! This is an incredibly difficult achievement for a neighborhood public school and could not have been accomplished without an all around team effort. Kellogg is strong and thriving because of our teachers/staff, parents, and community working together for our students.
While maintaining Level 1+ status, we are also improving with some significant gains:
